thirsty thursdays turned into terrific thursdays

thursday is my favorite day of the week because i meet my friend with our almost 2 year olds and we go to the mall, or out to breakfast, just hang out. its the greatest day because we are similar and like minded. we get it. its so unlike all of the other days. i actually have fun.

today her little one GIO and MV ran around the play area and literally had a blast. we were able to sit and chat and it was great. its so nice feeling calm and easygoing. having something in common with someone like a child. makes life easier. some of the other "friends" i have, its different.

RO still has no teeth, i'm dying. they need to come through. poor bean is desperate for some chompers. she is however crawling and trying to stand. god help me, this child is busy.

MV is still such a good girl and becoming more vocal by the day.

i love being a mom even when its crazy. like yesterday when MV basically screamed and wined through target and RO laughed and was her jolly ole self. some other mom stared me down, assuming its because of my purple hair.....maybe because was encouraging MV....vocal for her is good and i'll take it any way i can get it. i honestly wanted to tell the woman, hey i'm probably older then you, but you totally look like a 45+ soccer mom, so judge someone else, you haggard ol bag. really, my hair or my children's vocalization should be none of your concern. we're not hurting anyone. people are so judgemental here and i for one think its kinda funny.

sell crazy somewhere else....we're stocked up

my house is officially crazytown this week. MV hasn't slept normally in a week. she's teething so its pure insanity. no naps, screaming til 11pm - what? not my MV, she is a sleeper. it's the molars and they freaking suck! she can't explain the pain, so it doubles the terribleness of it. :(

RO is still like a baby orangutan - 100%. this kid rolls around like a monkey, she is so quick and she rolls 100 mph to get any snacks MV has dropped including her milk. i spend my days trying to pry a sippy cup out of an 8 mnth old's hands because she drinks formula. jeez louise

so we got a bike trailer, a great family pastime, a way for me to shed my babyweight. i abhor it. its behind hatred, its traumatic when i look at it. my kids scream, cry and hit each other. its the most stressful activity i've taken part in lately. my heart rapidly races and i get the sweats at the mear thought of putting helmets on these 2 and strapping them in. that said, we went for another ride today to try to get them "used to the helmets". the 2 of us wanted to drink heavily upon our return to black out the ride.

i am trying to get MV into a 2 year old preschool and we had to go on a waitlist. and its at a church. wth. its insane these days. she is 2. this isn't Yale, people.

highlight of my day, had to be at my Mom's by 1, at 12:15 i had to hit the post office and get some lunch. ok, no big deal, let the girls rock their mismatched jammies and we would shower later. omg go to the grocery and meet everyone and their mother. people stopping to say how beautiful they are then doing a once over on the "unshowered, mismatching family" and almost feeling sorry for me i think. then i realized, i put purple peek-a-boo highlights in my red hair but it was up, so i just looked like a punk kid that got a hold of manic panic. it must have been a sight. good times.

lost i think

i feel as though i'm lost lately. time is moving so quickly and i feel like i'm running to catch up with it.

MV finally had her eye appt. everything seems ok, she is possibly far-sighted, so they will keep an eye (pun intended) on that. that would make a lot of sense, since she has some issues with depth perception.

the girls are as funny as ever. MV dances this booty dropping kinda dance, which i'm not sure where she learned, unless she's seen unedited footage of me circa 08 from woodlawn. unsure. hoping that is not in circulation. her latest dance is like a fast march in place which i've oh so cleverly called irish dancing. ha! this way, she's getting ready for next year! how smart am i? RO is still not sitting up, she gets so super excited when she does, she immediately falls on her face. and she wants to crawl but can't seem to grasp it so she gives up, pivots and rolls. this baby rolls like a ninja, she's stealth. its kinda of amazing to watch her roll into different rooms and she does it fast like she's rolling down a hill. quite entertaining really.

tonight we went to target and the girls were great. you do need to talk to RO the whole time, but she talks back her babble now, so its super adorable. MV has more fun trying to grab any loot she can at top speed. she was operating with a bathmat in the cart for awhile, which is what i needed so it worked.

i'm obsessed with wall art for my guest bathroom and i'm really into framing fabric. i think it would be fantastic and add so much color. so now i'm thinking of framing a tea towel for my kitchen and some sweet fabric scraps for the guest bath. clearly i'm overly impressed by my cleverness tonight. its cheap, fun and looks cool. points for me!!!!!!!
